Make up fasts during the next 10 days?

Salaams everyone,

Quick question. Is it acceptable/allowed to make up a couple ramadan fasts during the first 10 days of this month? Can I make intentions to make up my missed ramadan fasts as well as have intentions to fast for the sake of sunnah?
