What is the purpose of Anton Raid?

I mean does it drop nice gear lol

I read a lot of times that 99% of us won't make it there and after further reading It just doesn't sound like I'd put in all that to get there

Is there an incentive behind doing anton raid

WHAT IS ANTON RAID AND WHY!!??! lol
