Monster Hunting Game help wanted.

I am working on putting together a game for some buddies. We all like the same book and wanted to build a game for it. I have some basic ideas laid out as far as skill and combat but im not sure if it will all work. Also is there a way to incentivise good RP as opposed to just rolling? General ideas would be awesome. Wast sure if post should have detailed explanation of game play so feel free to ask all the questions you want.
