Why do my gf's (22/f) insecurities/mental health issues seem to almost rub off on me (23/m). Little bit rant-y
I never used to be like this. I used to be confident and outgoing and now I'm nervous, shy, quiet (I was always a little bit quiet but getting better), and withdrawn. My girlfriend has really bad anxiety and doesn't like being out in crowded places, etc. She's also really jealous.
I previously posted about her jealousy and insecurity issues like how she hates when I talk to any female or watch TV shows with nudity, etc etc.

Yes, at the moment I'm still with her. It's probably not a good idea but I wanted to try to work it out.. We actually had a decent talk recently where I tried to tell her how it makes me feel when she gets jealous over things that I see as normal (like talking to people of the opposite gender). I tried to tell her that it makes me feel like a child when she wants me to look away from nudity on TV, but she didn't seem to buy that. She keeps saying "so you feel like a child because you can't look at naked women?".
She also said that if I don't look away it's like I don't care about her feelings. I said that I DO care about how she feels but that I disagree with her and that we could compromise by not watching graphic shows together (I would only watch them on my own time), but she doesn't want me to watch them at all.
I don't really feel like myself anymore and I try not to blame her but now I'm nervous around "attractive" females (including coworkers) because I'm used to getting "in trouble" if my girlfriend finds out I even said hi to them (I don't flirt). I can't seem to look forward to seeing movies because I'm used to missing half of it due to looking away. I love her but I feel like she'll never change, but then I feel sad because I want it to work. I feel like I'm insane which I probably am. wtf
tl;dr: I feel like my gf's mental issues have rubbed off on me and now I'm "crazy" too..
