Lost Passport

My friend lost her Australian passport (she has dual citizenship between Oz, and the U.S.). Does anyone know how she can get another? From what we are reading online she needs to prove that she is an Aussie citizen, but all of that is back home in the U.S.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
