The spoiled hunts, or how I stopped worrying and learned to love the hunt
I'm seeing a lot of people report failed hunts, abandoned hunts, abrasive hunters, and a nasty atmosphere in what should be a fun, engaging, challenging and sometimes even learning experience. It seems to me that a lot of hunters aren't getting what they hoped for out of MH4U.
Don't complain!
Don't moan about it!
Go to the MHClan subreddit and FIND people you want to hunt with! Open up a skype group, join teamspeak, or just host a chatzy room (it's free, no registration, no nothing. Just a room). If we're all disappointed with randoms, then the answer is clear: we hunt with others from the sub. We don't all always agree on the meta of the game, or the lore or design, but for the most part we like to be good to each other. WE are who we should be playing with. Add assholes you never see yourself wanting to hunt with again to the ignore and block list, and let that be it. They are out of your circle now, and you won't deal with them again.
It would be such a horrible shame to let dicks ruin your enjoyment of the game permanently, when we have a golden opportunity to hunt with like-minded folks here. Don't waste that chance.
You got this!
