Snapshot servers prior to patching via SCCM

Hi Guys,

Having the usual issue when patching my virtual servers using SCCM, that we require a snapshot to alleviate associated risks and insure I get change approval prior to proceeding.

Just wondering if anyone has come across a way to automate this, because at the moment we are needing to have a resource up at all hours of the night, snapshotting all the servers, then kicking off the patching cycle. Would think there is an easier way
