[DIPLOMACY]Concerns to the Chinese Court

DIPLOMACY

One of the Ikko Ikki monks who had been assigned to Bejing brought forth a report he had prepared on religious matters and the threat of Christens to the Middle Kingdom. In the report he details the non threat of Buddhism, Hindu sects, Tengrism, Shamanism, Shinto, and Animists as they all share a common 'wisdom of the east' which is compatible with the Son of Heaven and Tennō. However this man also wrote of the threat from the west, the threat of the men of Christianity and Judaism already well known, however he also wrote of a far closer threat. Islam, he wrote, was a vile religion that was opposed to all the good things of the East, and all the wisdom that they had collectively brought up. Furthermore the monk wrote of his times in the Malay sultanates, in which he read parts of the Quran and was horrified to later discover it had many parallels with the Christen bible.

This monk puts forth a theory that the Malay Sultans are far too open to Christianity due to the similarities in their religions, and their noted tolerance of other religions. He also reminded the Court that for nine years now the Sultans of Indonesia refused to provide tribute and acknowledge the Son of Heaven as their Lord. This humble monk offered the religious zeal of the Ikko Ikki to convert the Malay Sultanates to their sect of Buddhism which would rather die than succumb to the Christens. If the the Chinese can supply some funding and ships, the Ikko Ikki would be happy to build a 'Great wall of Buddhism' which shall forever protect China and her loyal tributaries from Christen influences.
