I have a cooler on my CPU now, it's after-market, but not really enough. A co-worker suggested this but I have a problem!
I don't have the clearance above my RAM for it. I measured, and I have a little under 5CM between the top of my case and the top of my RAM. It's a tiny issue, but sad none-the-less. So, I need either another way to mount this (I thought the side of the case but can't work out how that would work?) or I need another option here. Would the Seidon with only one fan be enough?
As a note, this is all related to my heat issue. Turning up the fan on my CPU to max out at a lower temperature kept it down to about 80C instead of 90C.
Semi-related, I built my computer under a year ago, can I use the same tube of thermal paste I already have handy or should I buy a new one and toss them after I'm done even though there's still a lot left? And... should there be a lot left?
Thanks guys, I know I've posted a few times related to this issue but the solutions are all so costly and this one looks like it may actually stay under $100!
