My PCV Valve hose is and Breather hose are are hard and cracking.

Is it possible to use another type of hose rather than the expensive part from the supplier. I already spent $30 for a New PCV valve and Grommet, but i can't move the old hose until i have another option. Is it possible to use fuel hose line or some other type of hose or do i need to use the original manufacturer parts.
