Requesting Biologist for I, Pet Goat II Analysis

I, Pet Goat II stirs a lot different mixed emotions depending on the viewer but it is clear there is a common theme of an apocalypse. A pivotal scene is the girl in white with the red apple.

Currently available analysis does not definitively account for the "C7" written on the floor as the apple splits in two and grows together into a locus flower (seen here: https://youtu.be/6n_xCI-peq0?t=80). Immediately genetic engineering comes to mind and more specifically, DNA manipulation.

In 1994 a researcher discovered an engineered protein called C7 that is used for DNA manipulation. Alarmingly, the researcher appears to have been modifying the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) during the discovery.

As the title states, it would be appreciated if a biologist can weigh in on this theory and shed some light on this possible coincidence.
