Smart Home/Home Automation using OpenHab and Arduinos

It's been a while since I've taken on a new project, and a Smart Home system is something I've wanted to do for a while.

I'm kind of just posting to get some feedback, since this will be my first self made Arduino project. I've worked with PICs and MSP430s and I feel like it is time to jump into the Arduino pool.

This is sort of the idea that I'm going for. Although any advice or criticism is greatly appreciated.

I like OpenHab since it already has a web interface as well as mobile apps, all used for home automation.

I love how a system like this is completely modular, and I can just add and remove various parts of the system. For example, later on I would like to add an IP camera, somewhere outside the house, to monitor visitors and such.
