Is my laptop 2.5" SSD compatible?~50
Hi, I recently purchased a Samsung NP540U3C-A01US manufacture refurbished for $220 shipped and it is in excellent condition!
It has a speedy i5/8GB ram/SSD, and is perfect for what I need.
I ran a NovaBench test on it and it says the write speed of the current 128gb msata ssd inside is 80MB/S.
Comparing that number to standard 2.5" SSD's such as the crucial bx100 and the samsung evo 850's ~500MB/s write speeds, I am thinking that I should upgrade.
Going to Crucial's website and putting in the model number of the laptop, it says that it is compatible with their 2.5" SSDs even though when I open the back of the laptop up to view the guts, I can see what looks like a msata ssd.
Can anyone help me verify if indeed this laptop can indeed fit a standard SSD inside?
EDIT: Here's also a userbenchmark that I performed on this laptop that gives me a: Read 487 Write 127; http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/388814
