Advice for a July Birthday snowboard trip...

So I turn 40 next July 5th. Yikes.

I've been riding since I was 12. I've only had the opportunity to ride on my birthday once before. It was basically hiking a jump in SoCal on a 200 ft patch of slush.

It's always been a dream of mine to ride in our summer. So I'm contemplating a trip to either Chile or New Zealand next year. Lookin at a day or two of heli boarding, along with a couple days at a ski resort.

My heart says Queenstown NZ. My wife won't be as eager to snowboard as much, so I'll want whatever town to offer more than just your normal ski town. I think she'd like Queenstown.

I'm also open to Chile, but I'm not as familiar with the mountains down there and heli boarding seems to be a much more exclusive endeavor there.

So I guess I'm just looking for opinions or advice on where to go. Have any if you guys done heli boarding in either of those places?
