The great dividers: which issues affect you on a day to day basis? Wages and tax structure or social issues?
I'm a liberal when it comes to social issues, like abortion, as are most Americans. But let's put that aside for a minute and reach out to the significant number of people who aren't. Bernie is doing this not only at liberty university but repeatedly as a core part of his stump speech. I would add that the horrific police brutality also affects me on a day to day basis as I would like to be proud of my country. People dying in the streets makes that a day to day issue. So the choice is clear for liberals and non liberals alike- divisive rhetoric or proven economic progams?
