I want Rodgers to stay, but what will it take for him to make logical decisions?

I feel like Rodgers footballing philosophy is on point and he's taking us in the right direction but on far too many occasions he makes decisions that leave us all scratching our heads.

For example, continuing to play Lovren. The west ham result wasn't entirely his fault but he made some vital mistakes and did some outrageous things (step - overs in midfield, not clearing the ball leading to the first goal), we paid £18 million for Sakho who despite being dodgy on the ball I feel is the better defender by a long way. Just because Lovren performed at Southampton doesn't mean he's going to here, he's been given far too many chances!

Secondly, playing players out of position. Playing Firminho at pretty much right wing back is ludicrous, spending that much money on a player with huge amounts of not only potential but current talent and then playing him out of position is almost inexcusable, he did the same thing last year with Markovic who is now seen as surplus and was shipped off to Turkey for the year. Also playing Ings practically left wing against United, Ings has said himself he loves running in behind defenders (Movement we've been lacking as of late) and is a natural finisher but he was played on the left wing to little/ no effect.

Finally playing silly formations, when we nearly won the league it was done with 2 strikers. Despite not having Suarez and Sturridge being unfit we still have plenty of strikers (Benteke, Ings, Origi, Firminho etc) and we lack wide players yet we still push strikers out on the wings and leave Benteke pretty much alone up top lacking any form of partnership or service which may have led to our lack of goals.

Im not a Rodgers out guy but i think he needs to see some sense, To quote that Reading fan "If a meal tastes like shit do you keeping eating it hoping it will get better? Or do you try another meal?
