pS4 game advice

My boyfriend has been really supportive whilst I've been going through a tough time and wanted to give him a weekend away and a bit of a gift -- he plays the PS4 and its his zone out time so, I thought it would be a nice gift. He plays assassins creed and destiny. He really loved borderlands and has told me on occasions that he loves games with a good story line - I'm thinking a bit of an Indy game with a strange story line? I really don't know a lot but I hope this helps and thank you dearly.
