Expert mode is too hard

I just barely got to level 16 on 100 Mario challenge (expert) and lost. It took me two hours, and what reward do I get for wading through tons of garbage levels? Nothing. I wish Nintendo would let users mark which levels are unfair/trash so that they didn't show up in the challenge...
