Need help running Vic2

I've bought the game today to run on my new windows 8 PC. I start up the game fine, the launcher comes up I hit start the game goes through the opening title and the game goes well until it hits "Initialising Mapologic". After waiting for it to move on from that I tab back to the desktop and an error has appeared saying:

"File exception:

Exception in: virtualfilesystem.cpp, line: 662. Description: the system cannot find the file specified."

Please help me solve the problem
