Southern Cali = Hellhole
I just recently embarked on my first journey from Prescott, AZ to Sacramento, CA. It has been the most humbling and eye opening experiences of my life. After finishing my journey and preparing myself for the trek home. I wanted to leave some friendly advice for anyone thinking about hitching through SoCal. Don't. Try and reroute around it. Up until about Santa Barbara, you will find nothing but contempt for the lifestyle you choose to live and wait times will be ungodly long... The only benefit of SoCal is the scenic interstate 1 route which if you enjoy the ocean is an amazing route. Just don't expect to find any rides and make sure to pack tons of water!
