Some points from last night

Positives:

• Schweini can replace Carrick, he brings security in defense, doesn't lose the ball often and his passing is amazing.

• Herrera alongside him works well and if they play together more consistently, I think this can be an absolutely amazing duo.

• Martial is an absolute beast and I think that with Rooney behind him and Young and Depay on the wings would be absolutely amazing, Martial is amazing at holding the ball, he played against Bruma who isn't the greatest but he is strong and tall and even against him he kept the ball, we already saw some of the amazing link up play with him and Depay and with Rooney behind, with his great shooting abilities, this attack could be absolute gold and if they get used to eachother a bit more, this could help us break defensive teams, where we've been strugling against now for a long time.

• Smalling proved his worth, once again in holding of De Jong, he barely had any chances.

Negatives:

• Darmian against Lestienne wasn't very great, he made some defensive mistakes. This case was unfortunate because Lestienne has some days where he's absolutely amazing but most of the time is decent at most.

• Mata at CAM just doesn't work out, someone with his technique should be able to safe himself in tight spaces but it just didn't work for some reason.

• Of course, Shaw, I think not only him not being in the pitch anymore made us play worse because he's very important for us and the penetration and pace that he provides is absolutely amazing but the way he went out of the field was absolutely shocking, imagine that one of your friends had to go off the pitch like that, I would play an absolutely shit game.

I think we actually played a good game and our play was at some times pretty amazing, apart from missing Shaw and the way he went out, the fact that Moreno didn't get atleast a yellow or that we got a penalty is mindblowing. If we get Rooney's leadership back, I think we can finally beat defensive teams with Martial, Depay, Young, Rooney and Herrera. I think this result was definitely out of context because of what happened and how we played because we dominated the entire game. I think regardless of the result last night, we should still be able to finish atleast second if not first in this group.
