[Build Help] Need help picking an affordable 1-2TB HDD
Hey everyone. I'm building a desktop since my laptop tried to commit ritual suicide a couple weeks ago. Got it limping along but don't know when it will finally kick the bucket.
Building it based on (but not exactly on) "The Next-Gen Crusher" From the PC master race build guide. Mostly the same parts but different RAM and Video card and my old tower. The thing that's stymied me right now is the HDD. The 1TB drive suggested in many of those builds has enough horrible reviews to make me not trust them but the price is right since I'm on an extreme budget (still not sure how I'm going to swing for Windows or a monitor). Can anyone give me a reliable sub $100 drive that is at least between 1-2 TB? I'm mostly going to be doing writing, internet, Audio editing, Video editing and gaming. I'm not planning on streaming anything currently, and everything but the gaming will be done mostly for work so I need a good reliable drive.
It's been years since I've built a PC so I feel out of the loop so I appreciate any help. Thanks!
