Any way to fix Gyakuten Kenji 2 on OpenEmu?

So me and a friend from school were playing through the english patch of Gyakuten Kenji 2 on OpenEmu on one of our school macs, and after we finished case 2 and started case 3, in the intro the sound glitched out before the screen glitched out, the music stopped and the game just wouldn't progress. I looked around and only found solutions to this problem on DesMume. Does anyone know of any way to fix this on OpenEmu or do I just have to switch to Desmume and download a save file if we want to move on?
