Lost the SD Card after my upgrade to Win 10 on my Precision M4700

I have a multicard external reader and that works fine when plugged into the USB port. It is clearly something connected with the driver stack which I disturbed when I uninstalled something that wasn't working.

I have tried installing the SD driver. It didn't work. There is clearly a sequence I need to go through to reload, anyone with an idea what to do?
