Is it possible Jousts were created to counter Face Hunter?

Think about it, certain jousts such as Gadzetan Jouster could be used to clear early minions such as knife jugglers or arcane golems. And also druids with that heal 7 joust 14 card as well could be a way of countering as well? Just my thoughts.
