Gear check for Tahoe's Beast World Championships - need advice for first Beast attempt

hey all trying to finish out the trifecta this year. This will be my first beast attempt (I've finished two sprints and a Super no problem). I figure the beast will be much harder so I'm hoping for some advice from the community on my gear. Also... I can't swim lol. Will that be a problem for the Beast? The gear I'm thinking of bringing with me/ buying

  • inov-8 Base Elite 150 Merino Long Sleeve (is this overkill? I usually wear a drifit shirt but I'm not sure if that will be enough)
  • Lulemon shorts w/ sewn in compression shorts (any trail shorts suggestions? In the past I wore a nike compression short plus my hyletes, but the hyletes still retained a bit of water...)
  • KT tape (is this needed?)
  • Camelbak (mine contains 2L is this too much?)
  • Gloves?? (My padded weight lifting gloves didn't help much on the monkey bars in my super so I ended up using my hands. Any suggestions?)
  • Mud gear compression socks
  • Justin's Peanut Butter squeeze packs
  • Ear plugs to keep mud out
  • Inov-8 212 shoes
  • Headlamp
  • GoPro
