WLauncher 0.5.0 Out Now - FREE FORM TILE ARRANGEMENT

Hello everyone. A lot of you have been asking this since pretty much day one of testing.

 

I was always conflicted about including this feature as it messes with the ability for WLauncher to handle difference screen sizes and orientation changes.

If you notice when using launchers such as Nova, turning your phone into landscape mode will simply squish and stretch what is being displayed and usually ruins your widgets layout.

 

Since everyone kept requesting this feature, I finally decided that it needs to be in the launcher and the results so far are pretty nice.

You can now position tiles at a precise x,y coord without it falling back into place. You can have a 4x2 widget up the top and a row of 1x1 apps at the bottom of a segment with all that empty space in the middle.

 

In addition to this, when editing tiles a button appears at the bottom left which will trigger the old flow arrangement and smoothly push all your tiles into a Windows Phone type arrangement.

 

This is not the only new feature as well, you can now resize widgets but dragging them from the corners! Simply long click and resize the widgets from the standard resize arrow.

 

A few design changes such as replacing the colour picker with a material colour picker. It now uses the material design colour palette.

 

Before installing, please note that you will lose your tile arrangement with this update. Since I had to change the way tiles are arranged it also meant to changing the way they are saved. Nothing I can do and the backup function wont work.
