Receiver issue - i think?
Yesterday
Was flying in park. Quad wasn't responding (despite being 60m away). I lowered the throttle and nothing happened, then suddenly it fell out of the sky. Because I was feeling lazy, and i saw it landed right way up, i decided to take off again without inspection. It went up in the air, and then dropped again. I walked over to find the issue
- rc beeper is gone (pins bent)
- propeller broken
- battery damaged (i think from the propeller breaking off).
Possible cause: Low battery on transmitter
Solution: replaced batteries on transmitter, and replaced prop. Fixed battery
Today
Was flying in the park, Quad was slow to respond*. I turned it around and faced it back to me. I lost complete signal... but it kept flying. I dropped the throttle then sprinted towards it to "hit it" out of the sky. About 3 seconds after i'd dropped the throttle, it then fell out of the sky.
*Also had a slight skew to the front right, which fixed itself.
Possible cause: wiring broken from crash? (transmitter --> FC)
Solution: Replaced all cables between transmitter & FC. Recalibrated ESCs, tested motors in Baseflight, Tested controls of transmitter. Re calibrated accelerometer
Going out soon to see if this works, but i'm kinda nervous.
(Batteries on the quad are charged too)
Looking for any ideas/things i should check before going out.
Opinions?
Just Then
Went for a fly just then, it seems okay. A bit slow, but i think that might have to do with the wind. still unsure if i should check anything else
