[Serious] People not from the United States, which states seem the most backwards/boring stereotypically and which seem the best in your un-educated opinion?

Edit : I wrote "un-educated" not to insult but to see your stereotypical responses to the US. I don't want statistical facts of why California is better than Florida, rather I'd like to hear why you would think that from first impressions.
