Why do people hate on natural beards?

Just posted my beard here for the first time in a few years. Decided I'd publish it on imgur too. This was a first for me. Got immediately bombarded with people(person) telling me how to save my beard with grooming tips.

I don't style my beard. I let it grow. Keep the hair clean and healthy and only trim split ends. I like a full natural beard. Is imgur full of 14 year olds that are beard experts, or is it just another community full of assholes? Like I said, first experience with the imgur community. Was surprised by the immediate responses for one, and secobdly the content of said responses.

What's the deal?
