Murghh

Feeling upset and would appreciate insights

48 year old man midsternal constant nonradiating reproducible CP since moving a couch at 0500 with diaphoresis & SOB at onset & resolved when I saw him in ER at noon. He got aspirin, nitro, morphine with relief for CP. He's a smoker since a teen, no other risk factors or UA symptoms. I did not appreciate any significant ST elevation on EKG & neither did the attending on brief review. Labs, CXR were normal but trop took 2hrs (unusual for our ER). Trop was 6.5 & on review attending called STEMI. Repeat EKG showed no changes. Med flighted & had PCI. I feel stupid as fuck & though the attending has a very dry approach and facetiousness I think he does too. Any similar experiences, insights, advice?
