Goodbye Dota: Hello League (For Now)
I am done with this game until the bugs are minimal and not game breaking. Between the frozen heroes, the input overcompensation, and ward/map issues that gives certain players cues they should not have, this game has become literally unplayable. Valve made an incredibly dumb decision to force reborn onto the playerbase this early into its existence. Source 1 should have stayed around a little longer.
Before you say anything, I actually wanted Reborn. I was actually one of the people fighting for it while it was still in early beta. I had higher fps, lower ping, and a better experience overall. However, when it "stopped" being in beta, it seemed that all that made it better was stripped away. I started experiencing lag issues, I had to lower my graphics settings to lower than what they were in S1, and bugs started popping up that affected my play. It wasn't long before I found myself in Low Priority.
My first run through Low Prio was fine. I accepted it as part of the transition process. 2 weeks later, and going into my 4th set of Low Prio (thats a total of 20 games, folks) due to forces I could not control has made me realize it's not worth trying to push through the issues Reborn is putting in my way. On my 3rd set of games, I actually had to do the 5th Low Prio game 6 times because it kept not scoring the match. 6 times (Which brings our total to 25 games). I wouldn't mind if Valve recognized that they are the reason for my Low Priority, but they will never lessen or remove the punishment, even in a beta test.
Valve, you took away my chance at having fun with your game for the time being. I, a customer who has put almost 100 dollars into your game in the past year, am being pushed away because you decided to test your buggy new engine without giving us the opportunity to opt out. I still want to MOBA, but I don't want to be an abused housewife, so I am moving to League of Legends for the time being, where I won't be slapped in the face with a punishment just for trying to help you with your experiment. I'll be back when you've cleaned yourself up.
