It was on this day in Lovecraft lore that the "Dunwich Horror" finally ended. (September 16, 1928)

"Let me tell ye suthin’—some day yew folks’ll hear a child o’ Lavinny’s a-callin’ its father’s name on the top o’ Sentinel Hill!”

"Negotium perambulans in tenebris. . . . The old librarian rehearsed the formulae he had memorised, and clutched the paper containing the alternative one he had not memorised."

Recently re-read the story and followed the dates to see it was this time of year, and today being specifically the Dunwich horror ended. Thought some of you might find it mildly interesting! :)
