Was Pernida as "strong" as Kenpachi?

So, we know how badass kenpachi is (Gremmy fight with shikai only, and with the eye patch on); and we know that Pernida Parkjazz (Lefty) gain the powers of whatever his/her nerve touches. But today´s chapter shows us that the hand wouldn´t have got as crazy as kenpachi, unless he eated him. Or why would the hand have the urge to eat Nemu? This was a cool fight. (It would be cool if the hand had another trick.)
