[Help] Samsung Smart Switch doesn't support old Galaxy S1 Plus, while KIES doesn't support Galaxy Grand Prime. How do I transfer contacts?
^ This. On Windows 10, installed both KIES 1 (compatible with Samsung Galaxy S Plus) and Smart Switch (compatible with Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime). Each software does not support the other device.
When trying to connect SG Grand Plus to KIES it says I should use Smart Switch instead (I get a message box then the connection is closed).
When trying to connect SG 1 Plus to Smart Switch it says "unsupported device, use KIES instead".
The funny (or should I say stupid for Samsung) thing is that on Samsung's webpage for SG 1 Plus, Smart Switch is listed as compatible software.
I cant use the mobile (Android) version of Smart Switch because Google Play Store says it's not compatible with SG S1 Plus. I thought about AirDroid but that doesn't support transferring contacts.
I cant install KIES for Android on SG Grand Prime either - it's not even listed in Google Play Store search.
I can't believe Samsung made it so hard to transfer contacts between its phones.
Any ideas? Thank you.
