Received a SMSL A2 in place of a SMSL SA-60

Can't seem to find any reviews of it yet, does anyone know anything about it?

It is in my cart but I don't want to spend on stuff if Japan is coming up. Still have to do this months give-a-way. (so behind)

What are your thoughts on it? Been checking it out on Amazon but no reviews yet.

So far so good, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Notable changes are tone control in place of loudness and a mystery sub output.

Tone control is hard to use as its only way of indicating bass/treble is an LED that lights up when it's not zero. +/- bass is red, +/- treble is blue.

Bonus fact: The case is energized to 50v @ ~13kHz and will give you a slight shock if you touch it and ground with the same hand.

That's weird, by design?

how has your A2 been? just recieved an A2 instead of SA60 as well on amazon, so far it sounds good, dont know if the SA60 would have been better, it has more watts than this A2 but i dont know if at all makes any difference

My only complaint is that it has a high noise floor. Even with the volume all the way down and no input connected I can hear a hiss up to 3 ft away.

The power output I was never concerned with. I use no where near 40W even at painful volume levels.
