New platform for our livestreams!: Discord

We are happy to announce that we will be using Discord for our livestreams/chatroom!

Once you create a username you are ready to get started! After launching Discord and signing onto your username, you can access our livestream by entering this link

Once you're in you will see a number of rooms. There are text channels and then voice channels. Please note that chats are archived so people who aren't online and logged into Discord at the time, will be able to catch up on any past discussions when logged back in. We were able to disable that setting so that there will be no chat history!

Voice Channels

Lounge: This is a place where everyone can verbally speak freely and hang out.

Game Room: This is all about games. Whether it's a board game, card game, or video game, this is where you'll be if you and a group of friends would like to start up a game. Everyone is welcome to be included, but if you are joining mid-game, please remember to be polite. You're more than welcome to join, but expect to wait for a new round if relevant.

Away Room: Whether you need to take care of a few errands or just want a minute to yourself, this room will accommodate your needs with it's quiet surroundings. Microphones are disabled in this room (except for livestream mods).

Text Channels

Welcome: If you want to just hangout and chat with one another, this is the room for you.

Movie Night: As you'd expect, this is all about movies. If you're in the mood for a good old fashion movie night- this is the place to be. This room is all about watching films with the r/Recordings community.

Just to refresh some memories we have a few simple rules that we ask you to follow.

• Treat others how you would like to be treated.

• No distributing other people's personal information without their consent.

• Offensive or derogatory comments will not be tolerated.
