Looking for something to read, wondering if any of the newer series being translated are worth reading, source/genre doesn't matter
Already reading/read or lost interest in and dropped pretty much all the older popular series.

Well, the two novels I write are based on Chinese themes, if you want to give them a chance.
The Gemstone Chronicles is Xianxia, with my own unique twists and cultivation system, with dragons and Titans and more.
Apocalypse Now is a apocalypse novel where all of humanity see strange blue screens pop up and can select super powers from them, spending points that were randomly distributed.
TGC is 60 chapters long atm
Apoc now is 10 chapters long
TGC is also #1 on royal road monthly :)

For Apocalypse now, please make a person choosing aliens/hive/nanabot godlike with RTS-like things. To limit the OP-ness, lack of fuel sources etc so they're limited in what they can trade/only passes by in space one every so often.
Haha I'm pretty confident that no novel out there exists that is pretty much the same as mine. I did make up my own system after all
I'll check out this Chinese one though! Always love new things to read!
Well, your Apocalypse Now story to me seems like a mix of Terror Infinity and God and Devil World.

God and Devil World inspired me to write Apoc Now! I haven't read Terror Infinity yet, though many people have suggested it!
It's But the main enemy currently is other groups of people with superpowers.
With the superpower twist it's still unique as far as i know.
I mean the dragons and cultivating levels (different types, like different in-story continents's (wow, that word doesn't auto correct.) about myths and legends). That, plus, it's Chinese. Still though, I can't really think of starting your Gem novel because of that gem tower defence game and the name is so close to Heavenly Jewel Change :P
I liked Shen Mu myself, would definitely recommend checking out the first volume, though without spoiling too much, if there's a certain scenario that 'frustrates' you, just know that it doesn't change.

Interesting, never read anything on RR before
One of the best on royal road is Forgotten Conqueror. No offense to gemstone chronicles, but Forgotten Conqeror surpasses it by far. Oh yeah, and also Mother of Learning is pretty good.
I have read a fair bit of MoL, probably should get up to date with it.
Never really given RR and fanfic much attention before, I guess I will give Forgotten Conqueror a go
