##Stage 1: Orbonne Monastery
###Boss: None!

##Stage 2: Ziekden Fortress aka Fort Zeakden
###Boss: Argath aka Algus & Black Mages
Boss HP: 11,542 (Argath) | 5,048 (Black Mages)
Medal Conditions: Do not die to Argath.
Status Vulnerabilities (Argath): Poison, Slow
Status Vulnerabilities (Black Mages): Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Slow, Stop
Moveset (Argath):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Armor Break (Physical damage to a single target and lower target's defense by 30?%)
  • Auto Potion (?% chance to counter attacks; Recover 440 HP)

Moveset (Black Mages):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Fire (Magic Fire damage to a single target or the entire party)

Notes and Strategies: The Black Mages can be Silenced and Stopped; Aerith's default SB will do a number on them. Argath can Armor Break your characters, but isn't likely to follow it up in any kind of dangerous manner. Plus, this is an early, easy stage; one good AOE Roaming Warrior should mop them up.

##Stage 3: Balias Swale aka Bariaus Valley
###Boss: Knight & Black Mage & White Mage & Time Mage
Boss HP: 12,610 (Knights) | 7,004 (Mages)
Medal Conditions: Do not die to the bosses.
Status Vulnerabilities (All): Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Slow, Stop
Moveset (Knight):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Armor Break (Physical damage to a single target and lower target's defense by 30?%)
  • Counter Tackle (?% chance to counter physical attacks; moderate Physical damage to a single target)

Moveset (Black Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Fira (Magic Fire damage to a single target or the entire party)

Moveset (Time Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Haste (Haste a single target)
  • Slow (Slow a single target)
  • Slowga (Slow the entire party)
  • Stop (Stop a single target)

Moveset (White Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Cure (Recover a small amount of HP to a single target)
  • Regen (Regen a single target)
  • Wall (Protect and Shell a single target)

Notes and Strategies: This is a multi-wave boss fight much like the Esthar Soldiers in Laguna's event. The first wave is two Knights and a Black Mage, the second wave is a Knight, a White Mage, and a Time Mage, and the third wave is a Knight, a White Mage, and a Black Mage.

Again, all the bosses are vulnerable to Stop and Silence. Any AOE Silence effect will make this fight very, very simple. Either way, AOE them down and focus on the mages over the Knight for single-target attacks.

##Stage 4: Golgollada Gallows aka Golgorand Execution Site
###Boss: Gaffgarion & Knight & Time Mage
Boss HP: 65,467 (Gaffgarion) | 24,765 (Knight) | 20,243 (Time Mage)
Medal Conditions: Do not die to Gaffgarion.
Status Vulnerabilities (Gaffgarion): Poison, Slow
Status Vulnerabilities (Knight & Time Mage): Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Slow, Stop
Moveset (Gaffgarion, Default):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Night Sword (heavy ranged Physical damage to a single target and recover HP based on the damage dealt)
  • Counter Tackle (?% chance to counter physical attacks; moderate Physical damage to a single target)

Moveset (Gaffgarion, Long-Ranged):

  • Night Sword (heavy ranged Physical damage to a single target and recover HP based on the damage dealt)

Moveset (Knight):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Armor Break (Physical damage to a single target and lower target's defense by 30?%)

Moveset (Time Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Haste (Haste a single target)
  • Slow (Slow a single target)
  • Stop (Stop a single target)

Notes and Strategies: Gaffgarion switches to Long-Ranged mode at random on his turn. When in Long-Ranged mode, melee attacks will automatically miss.

Once again, the generic adds are vulnerable to a variety of crippling statuses. Gaffgarion has the potential to be really aggravating with his long-ranged mode; a mage party might be better suited to this fight.

##Stage 5: Monastery Vaults aka Underground Book Storage
###Boss: Wiegraf & Knight & White Mage & Time Mage & Black Mage Boss HP: 105,244 (Wiegraf) | 29,097 (Knight) | 22,292 (Mages)
Medal Conditions: Do not die to Wiegraf.
Status Vulnerabilities (Wiegraf): Slow
Status Vulnerabilities (Others): Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Slow, Stop
Moveset (Wiegraf, Default):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Wave Fist / Aurablast (moderate ranged Physical damage to a single target)
  • Stasis Sword / Judgment Blade (massive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Stop)
  • Counter-Fight (?% chance to counter physical attacks; Physical damage to a single target)

Moveset (Wiegraf, Long-Ranged):

  • Lightning Stab / Hallowed Bolt (supermassive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Silence)

  • Firaga (heavy Magic Fire damage to a single target or the entire party)

Moveset (Time Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Haste (Haste a single target)
  • Slow (Slow a single target)
  • Slowga (Slow the entire party)
  • Stop (Stop a single target)

Moveset (White Mage):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Cura (Recover a moderate amount of HP to a single target)
  • Regen (Regen a single target)
  • Wall (Protect and Shell a single target)

Notes and Strategies: Wiegraf switches to Long-Ranged mode at random on his turn. When in Long-Ranged mode, melee attacks will automatically miss. The fight starts with a White Mage and a Knight in addition to Wiegraf. When the White Mage dies, a Black Mage replaces it. When the Knight dies, a Time Mage replaces it. Once Wiegraf dies, the battle ends regardless of how many generic units are alive.

This fight is very similar to the fight against Gaffgarion, except with bigger numbers. I strongly suggest bringing Silencega, Silence Shot, or Aerith's default SB to make the mages less of an issue. Physical protection is a necessity; Stasis Sword and Lightning Stab will deal a ton of damage and they ignore the defense boost from being in the back row. It may be a good idea to keep the Knight alive, thus preventing the Time Mage from spawning and Hasting Wiegraf/Slowing your party.

##EX+: At the Gate of Lionel Castle
###Boss: Gaffgarion
Boss HP: 169,935
Medal Conditions: Use Power Breakdown against Gaffgarion. Use Armor Breakdown against Gaffgarion.
Status Vulnerabilities: Poison, Slow
Break Resistances: Attack, Defense, Magic, Mental
Moveset:

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target; one, two, three, or four times)
  • Fight (normal or moderate Physical damage to the entire party)
  • Night Sword (massive ranged Physical damage to a single target and recover HP based on the damage dealt)
  • Counter Tackle (?% chance to counter physical attacks; moderate Physical damage to a single target)
  • Counter Night Sword (?% chance to counter magical attacks; massive ranged Physical damage to a single target and recover HP based on the damage dealt)

Notes and Strategies: Video Gaffgarion deals entirely physical damage, so don't bother with magical mitigation. He is absurdly fast, so be prepared for him to take multiple turns for each turn you take. I recommend bringing Gilgamesh or Auron with Tauntaliate (Draw Fire + Retaliate) to negate his multi-Fight and Counter Tackle commands. I believe Night Sword ignores Draw Fire but cannot confirm it.

##EX++: Riovanes Castle Keep
###Boss: Wiegraf Boss HP: 220,181
Medal Conditions: Use Power Breakdown on Wiegraf. Use Armor Breakdown on Wiegraf.
Status Vulnerabilities (Wiegraf): Slow
Break Resistances: Attack, Defense, Magic, Mental
Moveset (Wiegraf, Default):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target; once or four times in a row)
  • Fight (Physical damage to the entire party)
  • Wave Fist / Aurablast (moderate ranged Physical damage to a single target)
  • Stasis Sword / Judgment Blade (massive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Stop)
  • Counter-Stasis Sword / Judgment Blade (?% chance to counter any attack; massive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Stop)

Moveset (Wiegraf, Long-Ranged):

  • Lightning Stab / Hallowed Bolt (supermassive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Silence)
  • Counter-Wave Fist / Aurablast (?% chance to counter physical attacks; moderate ranged Physical damage to a single target)
  • Counter-Lightning Stab / Hallowed Bolt (?% chance to counter magical attacks; supermassive ranged Physical damage to a single target with a chance to Silence)

Notes and Strategies: Wiegraf enters Long-Ranged state randomly on his turn. While in Long-Ranged state, melee attacks will miss him.

Video Once again, purely physical damage, and again the dangerous abilities ignore Draw Fire. Pack as much physical mitigation as you can. His physical counter is weaker in ranged mode, but his magic counter is stronger.

##凶: Riovanes Castle Keep
###Boss: 凶 Belias aka Velius & Archaeodaemons aka Archaic Demons
Boss HP: 235,647 (Belias) | 38,209 (Archaeodaemons)
Medal Conditions: Exploit the Archaeodaemons' weakness to Holy attacks.
Elemental Resistances (Archaeodaemons):

FireIceThunderEarthWindWaterHolyDarkPoison
Weak

Status Vulnerabilities (All): Poison, Slow, Blind
Break Resistances (All): Power, Magic, Armor, Mental
Moveset (Belias, Default):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Fight (moderate Physical damage to the entire party)
  • Lose Voice / Aphony (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Silence)
  • Seal / Petrify (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Petrify)
  • Loss / Befuddle (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Confuse)
  • Titan (heavy Magic Earth damage to the entire party)
  • Rich / Lich (Gravity attack to a single target)

Moveset (Belias, Weak):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Lose Voice / Aphony (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Silence)
  • Seal / Petrify (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Petrify)
  • Loss / Befuddle (Magic Non-Elemental damage to a single target with a chance to Confuse)
  • Titan (heavy Magic Earth damage to the entire party)
  • Rich / Lich (Gravity attack to a single target)
  • Cyclops (very heavy Magic Non-Elemental damage to the entire party)

Moveset (Archaeodaemons):

  • Fight (Physical damage to a single target)
  • Lifebreak / Karma (???Reduces a single target to the same HP percentage as the user???)
  • Dark Holy / Unholy Darkness (heavy Magic Dark damage to a single target)
  • Gigaflare (heavy Magic Non-Elemental damage to the entire party)
  • Counter-Fight (?% chance to counter physical attacks; Physical damage to a single target)

Notes and Strategies: There are 3 Archaeodaemons. When Belias is reduced to a certain HP threshold (50%?), he switches to Weak state. The Archaeodaemons will only use their basic Fight command on the first turn.

Video This fight is tight on medals since there's only one extra medal condition. Make sure you bring holy damage or you can't master the fight! You want to get rid of the Archaeodemons as soon as possible; the fight becomes much more manageable when you're only facing one attack per turn instead of 4. The vast majority of the damage in this fight is magical, so bring a Shellga/Boon/Mighty Guard (FF8) to the party in addition to Grimoire. You may also want to bring an Esuna since Belias can Silence and Petrify; the Petrification chance is listed at "low" but the Silence is rated at "medium" (as is Confuse, but that's easier to cure).
