I met him at one of the caravans too. I still have a ball with his autograph around here somewhere.

Love this guy. Got to meet him as a kid at one of those caravan events and he was the nicest player ever. 

It's a shame it took so long he only lost his job with the D-backs because he refused to let his pitchers throw at batters and the manager didn't like that. Form the looks of Arizona now he seems to have done a good job. 

I wrote this guy a letter when I was 6.  He wrote back and signed a baseball for me.  Twas awesome.
