Be at peace now my sweet dreams,
And the dreams of those who’s lives now seem
A little darker, hateful, and more bleak.
Ash and flame just drift and dive,
Poisoning the air that gave them life.
Dimming the lights on the peak
Of the great mountain range.
That of love, concrete and fear, so strange.
Pained, the romance that we seek.
But the candles still burn on.
Forever, a vigil for the gone.
Never lost, each soul unique.
So we remember the names,
Our friends and loves consigned to the flames.
Now they rest, bathed in mystique.
