I want to go back

I want to go back to where we weren't scared of a new attack

When parents could let their kids play

and not worry about any evil that could hurt them like we do today

When the world was at peace

and we didn't have a new controversy weekly from the police

When the news didn't only create fear

and politicians didn't say the same lies year after year

I want to go back to the days where my future didn't seem pitch black

I wrote this poem after the french terrorist attacks today, Its pretty shitty but I enjoy poetry so I would love some feedback
