We as mods have no choice. The issue is that we have no way of distinguishing between a genuinely lost person and crowdsource stalking. Reddit admins (or more likely their lawyers) have decided that a media report legitimizes things. Even a police dept case # and number are not enough for them, we had that made clear to us by the admins over in r/sanfrancisco
