In depth features of Pandemic Horde

ЅIMPLE STRUCTURE: The CEO chooses a team of dіrectors to which he delegates tasks, these people make the decisions. The rest of the alliance is all on the same level. There is no middle management and no #mildirs.

NO NONESENSE Horde will not ask you for your API key, and we have an open door policy, you are free to come and go as you wish. We have no requirements for activity but will periodically clean up our inactivity members for the sake of keeping our roster from becoming bloated. If you do get purged for inactivity you are always welcome to come back.

FC FOCUЅED: The FCs bring the content аnd the cоntent brings the newbeans. Anyone is free to step up and FC as long as people are willing to join their gangs. FCs are free to experiment with doctrines and choice of targets. It is up to the members to decide which fleets are worth their time.

NEWBEAN FRIENDLY: We pride ourselves in having a very low barrier of joining our fleets. A day 1 player can jump on comms and join our fleets. Many of our FCs are experienced in explaining game mechanics to new players, additionally we offer classes from guests all across New Eden, members of Horde, PL and Waffles.

Our "Newbeans" channel has proven to be one of the most helpful places in EVE, the place to get all your questions answered about EVE.

FREE STUFF: Horde provides free skillbook packs which cover your first 60 days of adviced training. During this time you will often unlock new roles and ships to try. Additionally we hand out ships to new players that align with these skillplans and provide a good starting point to earn some ISK.

PARTNERSHIP: The Pandemic Horde is partnered with Pandemic Legion in a similar way WAFFLES is. It shares blu standings and sometimes supports PL fights but is otherwise independent. The Horde does not pay rent to PL‚ and makes the protection of it assets its own responsibility. The partnership with PL also allows new players to be on the right side of a massive fleet of supers, which might help with escalations.

HOME: Pandemic Horde's current home is A2-V27 (nullsec). This should provide a good place of operation for both getting fights, and allowing the new player to make some isk. The horde will not follow pandemic legion around the map but instead use a deployment method we call the “Ѕovіet Draft”

ЅOVIET DRAFT DEPLOYMENTS: Whenever horde pilots аre emplоyed to support PL’s fights‚ the pilots will only be asked to move their pods to the formup by the time the op beings. The logistiсs team wіll provide fitted ships at the destination to be handed out in the gang. The pilot only has to worry about moving its own сlone. Pаrticipatiоn to join fights is actually voluntary (unlike the actual draft).

MENTOR PROGRAM: Horde offers a mentor program where new or inexperienced players can ask for a mentor from Horde PL and Waffle pilots.

If you're not in-corp and want to be our recruitment channel is 'Join HORDE' or apply directly in-game. We generally process applications instantly if there is a director available.

I have played for a few years in and out, only doing missions/market-pvp/industry.

This war got me interested in actual warfare and I'd like to know if there's a place for mute people in there. I can hear and understand english and french very well, but I can't speak due to a disability.

DefianceKalOP•

not being able to speak is not an issue AT ALL! Just being able to listen to fleet comms (which are english) is important during fleets. Talking however is only really important for FCing / scouting but anything else you should be good to go. You can always ask questions in chat channels and people in Horde have always been very willing to help out people with disabilities in my experience.

I am a returning player (had a 6 month break) and I'm looking to get fighting in the war, I have about 65 mill sp on my main and a 50 mill sp alt and I'm wondering if you guys are looking for more experienced folk.

I know you guys are newbean focused so would I be a good fit for you guys or would you recommend that I should maybe look for another corp that's fighting in the war?

Also how is you EU TZ?

2
DefianceKalOP•

EU TZ to USA crossover to USA are all great tz in terms of activity, AU is growing but its a bad tz for EVE in general maybe with goons swapping vurn it will change a bit.

In terms of your experience / skillpoints we have a pretty large spread in Horde, we are open to all but there is a very big place for pilots with a lot more experience.

You are not going to be able to join fleets without listening to our fcs on mumble. Im sure we can get you on mumble though, id be very suprised if its blocked in a way we cant get it to work. Vpn / tunnel ports could be options allthough possibly more hassle than you're looking for.

I'm not sure how into PvP I will be (haven't ventured out of hisec) but I was wondering how much there is to contribute to the whole of Pandemic Horde, industry or exploring wise?

Could I get a step by step breakdown of the soviet draft to make sure I understand it? It's always voluntary, correct? Where would a member look for notices for those?

Are there restriction on ratting locations or site running?

1
DefianceKalOP•

Sov deployments are something we don't do much anymore since fozzie sov and since Horde has the ability to generate its own content but from time to time they will still pop up. They are announced on our forums.

Just like any other fleet they are not mandatory, we will sort out ships for everyone and then tell everyone to move in a travel inty or capsule to the deployment location. Then we hand out all the ships undock and go do what ever the op is about.

The idea behind the sov deployments is that its a rapid way to deploy horde for a single op over generally a bit of a further way than you'd go on a roam. This way you'd not lose a lot of people due to stragglers and in generally we've seen faster formups than if we'd take a normal fleet out.

Concerning the open door policy, it is acceptable to occasionally join up for a weekend of ratting/fleet stuff then drop to head back to an empire corp for a bit during my downtime to chill with IRL friends?

Also quick question, how rough are the alliance comms?

1
DefianceKalOP•

Yea we have no issues with people popping in and out, comms aren't that bad.

1
LolTethTroll•

Can I literally just sign up for the game and jump in? Have played a few months several years ago but had a less-than-stellar experience ratting/mining solo, thinking of trying again now that I have a solid 9-5 job and nothing to do at weekends but the occasional PTQ or night out with the lads.

1
DefianceKalOP•

Yea you wouldn't be the first to do that, however if its been a while since you played atleast do the exploration and combat missions they are a decent intro.

However if you end up being bored halfway through just jump in and start asking loads of questions. Generally you'll pick things up fast enough if you just jump into things. (Comms & fleets will help out with this significantly).

y'all have TS3 ?

DefianceKalOP•

Mumble

1
Sole_Hunter•

Can you PM me the info.

1
DefianceKalOP•

No, join horde then follow instructions in corp bullitin. There is no other way.

1
Sole_Hunter•

roger that will do.

Motie-scout•

I have excellent skills in a machariel, as this character was trained up for incursions, that I wanted to pull my head off to stop the pain! After I finally did incursions. would these skills be of use in your killagoon fleets? Absolutely useless at anything else other than I have an interceptor. So Any minmatar large projectile shield ship I guess? Please let me know.

1
DefianceKalOP•

Hey man, we fly feroxes that is as close as it comes to your currently trained skills. That being said keep in mind that we focus on newbeans so there is ALWAYS something you can fly.

Bigger isn't always better especially in PVP you can be a miracle working in smaller / easier trained stuff.

Be sure to have a look at our skillplans when you do make the swap they are really short.

1
goduffgo•

Is there any rules on twitch streaming?

1
DefianceKalOP•

Ask an FC before you do it on a fleet that your not FCing yourself, generally they will tell you to put up a short delay.

1
Pseudopro7•

{Free Stuff} I've been in the corp a few days now and I'm working on getting skilled up. I'm about to start on the 14 day skill plan but I need the books to inject. Can I get a contact so I can get the skills needed to train up? Thanks

1
solalbog•

I want to join and am bringing all my stuff 10 frigs/10 destroyers and fitting to a hs entry to lowsec, will any one be able to help me move it deeper into null (for free ships?) and who can I contact? also is there a program to participate in building medium citadels? and keeèing goon sov?

1
DefianceKalOP•

Sorry for late reply, we have shippi g services from jita. So buy there and then ship stuff down.

Citadels wont have very many uses at the very start due to us using corp contracts A LOT

1
solalbog•

I'd suggest that getting peope interested in sharing citadels would create market hubs to be used as srp for those providing them, you'd get others to rat and you'd protect or srp them....let the isk pour for the newbies...

masonraus•

Out of curiosity, do you guys have like a wormhole fleet? Wormholes are my shit but the good fights are lacking if you just live in them. So, do you guys have people who do that semi regularly or have people who are interested in that?
