USB 2.0 not showing up when plugged in?

So I bought a 128GB USB 2.0 by Nexxtech a few months ago for roughly $35 (it was on clearance). It was working just fine up until Halloween, now it won't show up on any device at all. I've tried plugging it into a blu-ray player, xbox one, xbox 360, macbook air, windows laptop, and nothing will popup. The USB still lights up when plugged in though, which indicates it works, but it doesn't.

It's probably worth mentioning that I have a tendency of unplugging my USB without ejecting it first, so that might have something do with it.

I tried using Device Manager to fix it, such as uninstalling and reinstalling it, disabling and re-enabling, but no luck. I heard formatting might fix it but I already have about 40GB of TV shows and Movies on it, and I really don't want to have to redownload it all. I can't go back to the retailer because I was on a trip at the time I bought it.
