Apply to become a verified proofreader here!

To apply become a verified proofreader, please reply to this post with the following information:

• Links to five posts from r/Proofreading that you've helped in. This requirement serves multiple purposes: it gives us examples of the work you do, so we know the quality of proofreaders we verify; it makes sure you've been active in the community; finally, it encourages potential applicants to help out in the many requests we have here. This requirement is not flexible.
• Any other credentials you have, like professional editing experience or a minor in linguistics. Note that qualifications of this level are not necessary (although they are helpful).
• Languages you are fluent in, so I can include it in the mouse over text for your tag if/when you're approved! Please specify which flavor(s) of English, too: US, UK or British, Canadian, Irish, &c.

Note that this application doesn't expire, so if you've only responded to three posts and you're extremely busy, don't worry! You can take as much time as you need. Also, I realize there are times where you'd help edit by going straight to an EtherPad or GoogleDocs link without commenting in the actual thread. You can just link to the original thread and note that you helped but didn't comment reddit-side; I'll just hold you to the honor system on it. Please upvote for visibility, I don't receive karma, etc.
