Scammed on kickstarter, not sure where to get help.[UK]

Douche

Hey all, about half a year ago, I backed a project from somebody that I sorta knew on kickstarter ( not sure whether I should but here is the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/700883411/home-studio-fund/description).
I got into contact with the owner of the kickstarter immediately through facebook and started talking about getting my things sent to me. The package which I pledged for included the music from the project he was starting with the money, plus personal things, like meeting him for a drink, and some clothes, so the only thing I really wanted sent was the clothes.
What seemed like a simple task , for him to send me the clothes was made complex by lots of bullshit excuses about the package being lost in the post , then a friend would bring it to me for him , then that friend let him down.e.t.c.
Every few months I'd send a message ,and he'd give another excuse. I'm not sure whether I've explained this fully but I hope you can understand my problem and let me know whether I'm being crazy thinking this is a legal problem, or just what I should do in general. Reaching out to kickstarter just resulted in me being shrugged off, with them saying that they had given him the money and it was up to him , and that I should try get in contact with him. Thanks in advance for any advice, legal , or general.
