HTML Form Help

Hi, I am new to HTML and I am trying to use a form that allows someone to submit text and a string of code is returned with that text in it.

For example: If I entered my name and hit submit, I want text to say "Welcome to our site, myname!"

Is there a good way to do this in HTML? I saw there is a way to do this in PHP but I would rather stick to HTML.
