A message to all Beckoners and Cooperators
I've seen far too many players exercising bad etiquette when playing with each other. Especially, with the release of the expansion. As someone who finished the new content in it's entirety very early, my new mission was to help everyone else out, but this is a lot of what I've witnessed:
To Beckoners,
I've seen many of you completely disregard your helpful cooperators. Not so much as a single gesture or greeting comes their way. This is by no means required for cooperative play, but we're all people here. The least you could do is give a friendly greeting.
Now, I know these crazy fiends, beast, and monsters look terrifying, but get in the damn fight, Beckoner. I'm not going to do the whole thing by myself. I expect you to participate. Don't hide in the corner while I tackle this baddie, or I'll silence my bell and leave you to your likely death.
To Cooperators,
The same can be said for you supposedly helpful folk as well. Interact with the people you're helping. Gestures are our only practical way of communicating on the fly, and can be extremely effective if heeded by both parties.
Don't just fight everything without the Beckoner in mind, Cooperators. This isn't your world, it's theirs. Every enemy in this game has a directive that's primarily built around one target. When wonky AI and the net code come into play, this can lead to some serious goofs that ultimately lead to a glitched fight or a dead teammate. This goes for Beckoners if they wish to keep their Cooperators alive too.
These are just some of my gripes with the online cooperative community, but I see a lot of good in it too, which is why I care enough to post this. Hunters, at the end of the day, we're just playing a video game with each other. Be nice, be cool, be helpful, and let us cleanse these tarnished streets.
