Recommendation on skis for Skijoring

Longtime casual XC skier here, and am now just starting to get into skijoring since I have a young Alaskan Malamute that just loves to run and be outside. Since my skate skis are over 12 years old, I figure its time to get a new set.

Just wondering if anyone has recommendations on what to look for in terms of skis specifically for skijoring. Not looking to spend a fortune, but just want an upgrade over what I currently have. Thanks for any advice or tips!
